ICENZ Limited, based in Marton in the Rangitikei, was founded by Gretta Mills in 1997. The company is owned by Gretta and Geoff Mills and is registered and accredited with NZQA as a Private Training Establishment (PTE). ICENZ Limited is also registered as a training provider for the water industry (Primary Industry Industry Training Organisation Inc), sport, fitness and recreation industry (Skills Active Aotearoa Industry Training Organisation), occupational health & safety (New Zealand Industry Training Organisation), road transport industry and extractive industry (NZ Motor Industry Training Organisation Inc.) and infrastructure industry (Connexis- Infrastructure Industry Training Organisation).

ICENZ Limited, through its trading enterprises RED Team and Watermark Training and Consultancy, has had considerable training needs analysis and adult education experience. ICENZ Limited/RED Team experience has been within New Zealand and Watermark (www.watermark.ac.nz) operates both in New Zealand and internationally.

Gretta is a New Zealand trained graduate teacher. Her qualifications and professional experience include a degree in psychology and post graduate qualifications in education, primary and tertiary teaching and business administration.

Specialist areas are in organisational and vocational psychology, communication management and foundation skill provision. Other qualifications and experience include teaching children and adults with specific learning disabilities (SPELD) and teaching English to speakers of other languages (ESOL). She also has knowledge of te reo Maori me ona tikanga.

Gretta was a key member of the RED Team (Rangitikei Employment & Development) that instigated contracts with Work and Income NZ and then SkillNZ/TEC to provide second chance foundation education opportunities for unemployed WINZ clients living in the southern Rangitikei. The majority of students were Maori.

From 2001-2005 Gretta’s company, ICENZ Limited, undertook ten of these targeted and/or TOP contracts. As RED Team programme coordinator and tutor she was involved in all aspects of the programme: management; consultation; liaison with government agencies; recruitment and liaison with local businesses for work experience placements; programme planning and development; teaching, assessment and moderation; staff recruitment, support and mentoring; and pastoral care of students.

Geoff has over 20 years of experience providing multi-disciplinary professional services as an individual consultant, team leader and project manager on projects in New Zealand, Asia, China and India.

He has been selected for projects that focus on organisational development, institutional analysis and strengthening, human resource development, change management and capacity development. His excellent communication skills, institutional assessment and human resource management experience has enabled him to be an effective communicator in a wide range of fields. Geoff has been a mediator/ facilitator for the NZ Ministry of Health. He has developed major communication programmes for Government Departments in the five countries that border the Mekong River in Asia. Additionally, he has worked with the transport industry, environment and water sector industries to deliver training programmes, facilitate public consultation and communicate complicated technical arguments in a user friendly way.
